Interior Trends for 2017
As Phil and Kirsty would say, “will you love it or list it?”. This is exactly the type of process that many of us are going through right now. What better way to refresh your home than with the latest interior trends and make it feel like new. Then see if you still want out.
To help you on your way to loving your home again we’ve pulled together the top four interior trends for 2017.
Shades of Grey and Sunset Warmth
With Dulux recently revealing it’s Colour of the Year for 2017 Denim Drift we wanted to look at the coordinating colours that will be hitting our homes over the next 12 months.
Denim Drift fits perfectly in the Shade of Grey category. A warm type of blue with grey undertones. This in turn works perfectly with the amber colours of sunset as well as richer blues such as indigo and ink. In a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom or even lounge these colours are warm and welcoming.

Natural Textures
One of the key predictions for 2017 is cork. Extremely versatile it can be used on coffee tables, home accessories or to clad entire walls; ideal for a home office or kitchen wall.
With it’s natural origins cork is a perfect partner to rustic and reclaimed woods, as well as creating a feature piece in a more monochrome style setting.
Cover whole walls or cut out shapes to compliment the style of your room. Here is the fantastic wallpaper from Piet Hein Eek now available at The Orchard check here.

Rattan
Rattan is also high on the agenda bringing the textures we would usually find outdoors indoors. Perfect to create a natural earthy feel to a room alongside green shades or to compliment neutrals.
Add paint to rattan to create a dramatic effect in a monochrome industrial style room or bright colours to create a focal piece.
For those who want a light paint finish without going all the way take a look at this bench and the rest of our washed Rattan collection here.

Boho Chic
Think African, Indian & Moroccan style colours and patterns. Hippy chic, a great way to add texture, pattern and colour to a room. Accessorise with it; a great chance to show off some of your most treasured travelling souvenirs or create an entire room around the theme for a global well-travelled look.
