Our furniture is made from solid, sustainable, chunky and textured Canadian Pine. This wood is grown in a cool climate, which allows the wood to grow slowly, naturally and true to form which results in an even, straight grain and a unique finish. Versatile and reliable, this material is made to last and will never warp or twist like some European alternatives. Choosing the right materials is hugely important, and the pine that we use creates a stable structure for your favourite pieces from our rustic furniture collection.

Each piece that we offer can be finished with a variety of waxes and wood-stains, which allows us to perfectly match your chosen piece to its surroundings. There are few things more damaging to rustic interior design than disjointed wooden furniture, but you needn’t worry about that with our diverse range of products. We can even use natural finishes, including crushed walnut and beeswax in order to add colour to your chosen piece, whilst also protecting and nourishing the wood itself.
We feel that the term ‘rustic’ is most applicable to the diverse range of rough-sawn furniture that we can provide. Sometimes known as plank furniture as a result of the rough lengths of timber along with the raw, un-sanded finish, these pieces of furniture are full of character and uniqueness. This range of rustic furniture lends itself best to dining or bedroom environments and larger pieces are usually the most rewarding, including wardrobes, tables and large pine beds.
Another key feature in the process of creating these wonderful patterned pieces of furniture is the ways that the wood itself is sawed. The unique pattern on each cut of wood is as much a result of the sawing style as it is to the natural character of the wood itself. Through this method, you can actually see the natural story of the wood, from start to finish, which is only enhanced when treated to a resilient finish.
This extremely versatile wood can be used to transform hallways and entrances, for example, with items such as our monk’s benches or pew seats. These features work particularly well in period homes or rustic cottages, but are just as stunning in more modern settings.
