Today it is the turn of The Orchard boys to select their favourite recipes from this year’s Great British Bake Off. If you’re looking for something extra special this weekend, why not try one of these?
First off, we have Mat’s choice – ‘Full English Wellington‘
It’s no real surprise that northern lad Mat plumped for a pie, but to be fair it’s as indulgent and creative a savoury pie as you could hope for. The all encompassing delight of a full English breakfast, combined with the warming heartiness of good old fashioned pastry. Hand making the pastry ensures a suitably messy (manly) preparation too!

Following on from Mat’s choice, it was my turn, and I went for another savoury recipe – ‘Chipotle chilli and smoked cheddar bagels.‘
I’ve always been a massive fan of bread, and I had a fondness (resistance) of all things spicy imbued in me thanks to my chilli-chomping Dad, so this is a recipe which I really liked the sound of. Couple with your favourite filling (the recipe recommends salt beef or turkey) for a snack with a tongue tingling twist!
